Behind the Song
HEAL ME was written after five days without sleep, when I could barely walk. Quite literally, I was crawling just to get around.
In April 2024, I ruptured a disc in my lower back. This moment was the climax of a decade-long battle with back pain and forced me to stop completely for about a month.
On the fifth day of sleeplessness, I began writing this song as a cry to God for healing. However, the Holy Spirit quickly took over and gave me words that turned into praise—asking for His presence to flow through me rather than only for healing.
I never intended to release this song, as it was simply a prayer between me and the Lord. But Hebrews 4:16 says: “Let us then come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy and find grace to help us when we need it most.”
The Lord wants you to come to Him when you are suffering. He longs to help, delights in you, hurts with you, and desires to cover you in love, light, and song.
