Statement of Faith

1. The Bible:
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

2. The Trinity:
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

3. God the Father:
We believe in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, who is sovereign over all things, holy, just, loving, and full of grace and truth. (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 90:2)

4. Jesus Christ:
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1-4; Acts 1:11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

5. The Holy Spirit:
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit provides spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church and the work of the ministry. (John 14:16-17; 1 Corinthians 12:4-7)

6. Salvation:
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is the gift of God and not of works, so no one can boast. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ provides forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life to all who believe in Him. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10)

7. The Church:
We believe in the Church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members. We also believe in the local church as a visible expression of the Church, where believers gather for worship, fellowship, and service. (Ephesians 1:22-23; Hebrews 10:25)

8. The Ordinances:
We believe in the practice of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper as outward signs of the inward grace received through faith in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

9. Christian Living:
We believe that Christians are called to a life of holiness, love, and service to others, empowered by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 12:1-2; Galatians 5:22-23)

10. Eternity:
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the eternal life of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost. (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15)
