Synopsis:

“Unsung Hero” is a 2024 American Christian drama film directed by Richard Ramsey and Joel Smallbone. The movie is based on the true story of the Smallbone family, who moved from Sydney, Australia to Nashville, Tennessee, in pursuit of a new beginning.

The film follows David Smallbone (played by Joel Smallbone) and his wife Helen (played by Daisy Betts) as they uproot their lives and six children after David’s music company collapses. Facing financial struggles and the daunting task of starting over in a foreign country, the family relies on Helen’s unwavering faith and David’s determination to push forward.

Three of the Smallbone siblings—Joel, Luke, and Rebecca St. James—develop their musical talents and navigate the competitive music industry. Joel and Luke eventually form the duo For King & Country, while Rebecca embarks on a successful career as a Christian recording artist.
