Secular American singer-songwriter Robert James “Kid Rock” Ritchie has just debuted scoring himself his first leader on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart for the chart week of February 21, 2026. His cover of Cody Johnson’s 2022 hit ” ‘Til You Can’t” has not only earned Ritchie his first entry into a religious chart, it also launches into 2026 as the highest debuting song of the year.
The Hot Christian Songs chart tabulates the best-selling Christian songs weekly in the United States, based on airplay audience (or radio spins), digital sales, and streaming data according to Luminate and Nielsen BDS. On the similarly-compiled Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Country Songs charts, ” ‘Til You Can’t” bows in at numbers 9 and 14, respectively. The song has also entered several all-genre chart—on the overall Billboard Hot 100 chart, the song enters in at number 69; on the Digital Song Sales chart, it leads.
” ‘Till You Can’t” has begun as the highest charting debut on the chart of this year. It’s followed closely behind by two other hit tracks, Brandon Lake and Johnson’s “When a Cowboy Prays”, which peaked at number 6 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart, and Josiah Queen’s “Demons”, which peaked at number 7. The song’s success is almost exclusively based on digital sales, having sold 51,000 first-week copies in the United States. As a result, it opens topping the Digital Song Sales chart, becoming Ritchie’s second leader there. It’s also the third Christian song to top the chart in the past year—Lake’s “Gratitude” and “Hard Fought Hallelujah” each matched the accomplishment.
Ritchie’s entry into the Hot 100 chart has proven a notable feat. Historically, Christian music has had poor reception from secular audiences. In fact, only nine Christian songs have ever entered the Hot 100 chart—until 2025, when a string of hit songs managed to reach the crossover: Lake and Jelly Roll’s “Hard Fought Hallelujah”, Forrest Frank’s “Your Way’s Better” and “Lemonade”, Phil Wickham’s “What an Awesome God”, and Queen’s “Dusty Bibles”. With ” ‘Til You Can’t” becoming the fifteenth Christian song to enter the Hot 100 chart, Christian music has proven to show no signs of slowing down in the upcoming year. The song is also Ritchie’s first entry on the chart in more than a decade.
The song’s success is largely credited to Ritchie’s performance on Turning Point USA’s alternative Super Bowl Halftime show. He played ” ‘Till You Can’t” at the performance, which greatly popularized the song and earned him the significant chart debut.
