FOR RELEASE JANUARY 31, 2025 — Faith-based rock group Relentless Flood has released a soulful acoustic rendition of their song “Still I Know,” just in time for singer Marshal Huffman to embark on a series of dates in Germany with The Protest’s Josh Bramlett. The song is streaming now at https://relentlessflood.hearnow.com/still-i-know-acoustic/.
“I came up with the acoustic arrangement for this song during the early part of the pandemic lockdowns of 2020,” Relentless Flood frontman Marshal Huffman offers. “It was a time of such turmoil and uncertainty, making it hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I felt led to make a video of me playing ‘Still I Know’ acoustic as an encouragement to believers to keep their eyes on Jesus.”
Fans were deeply moved and encouraged by the song, quickly requesting a recording. Marshal is finally delivering this new version of the timeless message, just in time for a series of concerts in Germany with The Protest’s Josh Bramlett. The concerts themselves will be up-close-and-personal acoustic shows.
Marshal says, “Over the past few years, I’ve had the chance to play a lot of acoustic shows. This has allowed me to portray the full dynamic range of everything the songs can be, even though they were written with heavy instrumentation and production. I am looking forward to doing music like this somewhere new with a really good friend, pouring my heart out in these songs. I have grown to love the raw emotion and more intimate connection acoustic performances facilitate with the audience.”
That connection is particularly poignant when it comes to songs with as rich a message as the one found in “Still I Know.”
“Even though we wrote ‘Still I Know’ seven years prior to the pandemic, the message rang just as true then as it does today. No matter what chaos, war, famine, pandemic, or whatever else might come our way, we know our King is still on the throne. He is our Rock and our Savior. Jesus is unchanging. He is constant. He is consistent. He is never failing,” the singer concludes.
You can stream “Still I Know (Acoustic)” wherever you are in the world today. Find Relentless Flood on Facebook and Instagram for more updates, and see a full list of German tour dates below.

Skillet is one of my favorite bands. I’ve listened to them for many years. The reason I enjoy their music so much is how invigorating their music is. I even remember having to work a stressful job during the pandemic, and I would listen to their album, “Victorious.” It gave me that punch of energy and motivation to get through each day. Singing along to the lyrics in my car on the way to work gave me reassurance. I mean, I used to listen to them more in the past, but since I got that album, I’ve been pleased to have access to their newer music. And I’ve enjoyed each one.
The overall combination of great lyrics and strong songs makes me always go back to Skillet. They’re just so good, and their newest album is the same as their others (which is perfect). I really enjoyed Revolution, listening to it while working on the computer. I don’t have the physical album of Revolution, but I’d like to collect all their albums for my car. I often find that I need extra motivation when facing the world. It’s become a dark place, you know, so I’m grateful for Skillet. I hope they continue to keep playing music because what they do makes a huge difference.
Revolution is an awesome album. And to be honest, my favorite songs could be all of them. But there were a few that stood out. “Unpopular” is a wonderful track. It’s how I feel in this life. And I’m sure it resonates with a lot of people with lyrics like, “If freedom is a disease, who would ever want to be popular.” In, “All That Matters,” the song starts out beautifully. Once again, the lyrics are great with, “My faith, my family, my freedom are all that matters to me.” And, “Not Afraid” is another cool song with lyrics like, “I am not afraid, I will keep the faith, never back down ‘til my dying day.” There are more standout songs but really, truly the whole album is like that, so it’s all noteworthy.
I recommend “Revolution” to anyone that likes Christian rock with amazing lyrics. And if you’re in need of some encouragement, pick up this album. Listen to it in your car, anywhere you go. It’ll strengthen your faith, make you bold, and calm your fears. I don’t know if musicians ever know how impactful their music is, but I hope Skillet does. And I hope they continue to make music. Because the world needs more of it. So, yeah, get your copy of “Revolution.” You won’t regret it. And thank you, Skillet! You’ve really made a difference with your songs. Please keep going! -
