FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — Faith-based rock and metal awards show The Grizzly Awards is gearing up for their 3rd year by opening up submissions for nomination considerations. Bands, fans, labels and management teams are all welcome to submit media at https://bit.ly/GrizzlyNominations2021.
Within the first 24 hours of opening submissions, The Grizzly Awards team received over 300 responses— a number that continues to climb. “Every year, the rock community surprises us,” shares The Grizzly Awards co-founders Joel Burris, Mary Nikkel and Cindy Blankenship. “This year is already blowing us away. The enthusiasm and genuine support that we see artists, professionals and fans in this genre offer each other renews our commitment to serving and celebrating them well.”
The Grizzly Awards will be accepting submissions until the end of December. All submissions will be vetted by experts, with the finalists in each category being released for voting in January. Once again, The Grizzly Awards will be considering a combination of fan votes and the votes of a panel of industry experts.
As the grassroots movement behind The Grizzly Awards grows, in their third year, the organization is celebrating their status as a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit. As in years past, the awards show honoring artists will be funded on a donation and sponsorship basis. Donations can be made at http://bit.ly/TheGrizzlyAwardsDonate, and parties interested in sponsoring the show can reach out to thegrizzlyawards@gmail.com.
Ultimately, The Grizzly Awards team hopes that this year’s awards will be a continued support and encouragement to the underdog voices of rock and roll: “We know the sacrifices required to create the music that is changing lives, year after year. We know the toll of years spent sleeping in a van and working two or three side hustles to keep the music going. And we know that listeners appreciate it far more than could be adequately expressed in just words. The Grizzly Awards is a way to tangibly express that love and gratitude through action.”
You can stay tuned for future updates from The Grizzly Awards at thegrizzlyawards.com, and on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.

DEC 10, 2021 – Record-setting hard rock queen Lacey Sturm has released an offering of mystery and romance with “Awaken Love.” The song is available on all major streaming platforms at https://slinky.to/AwakenLove.
Both atmospheric and intimate, “Awaken Love” is a string-driven ballad that Lacey co-wrote with Skillet’s Korey Cooper. The song explores what it feels like to be immersed in the transcendent experience of perfect love.
“With lyrics, I go into a place where I try to hear what the song is about. I have to learn. The music tells you,” Lacey recalls about the writing process. “Sometimes there are lyrics that stir that up, and Korey already had some of that written.”
The song developed into a sweeping chorus and vivid verses, with Lacey’s fervent vocals declaring, “My racing heart so safe with you, they can’t take me away from you.”
While the instrumentation marries rock riffs with cinematic musical scope, “Awaken Love” invites the listener into wonder over the ways they’ve experienced unexplainable love. “Romance is a shadow of the divine,” the singer concludes. “The shadow boxing of romance is really coming from the divine dance of God and humanity.”
“Awaken Love” follows the previously released “The Decree” and “State of Me.” Together, the three songs showcase Lacey Sturm’s consistently expanding sound. Working closely with her husband and guitarist Josh Sturm to break new musical ground, Lacey continues to solidify her role as one of the most iconic voices in hard rock.
You can keep up with all things to come from Lacey Sturm on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Twitch.

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now.
– Philippians 1:3-5
Another day sinks into eternity without resolution, yanking the scab from the wounds of battle.
In the darkness, tears drown the day’s end in another night of pain. A crush of unsolvable problems create the sensation of falling, headfirst, into a world without hope.
Then a song on the playlist reaches through the heaviness, pulling back the veil from the holy place to reveal a Sovereign presence.
God is here.
In the stillness, the Holy Spirit embraces and absorbs the pain. His Word, spoken through another hurting soul, binds the wounds and gathers the tears to anoint the Savior’s feet.
This Thanksgiving, I thank you who write and sing and speak truth gleaned from your own sorrows.
Your words of victory in the night gives us hope for tomorrow. Your honest confession of weakness reminds us it’s okay to falter, to be in pain, to not understand why life hurts so much.
This Thanksgiving and every day, I am grateful for my brothers and sisters in Christ. Your struggles and trials and even your failings are not in vain. Together, through the storms, we stand; a temple built upon the Rock by those who have gone before us and those who stand with us.
Together, we rise.
I’m thankful for you who cherish Jesus, whether you are a stranger, friend, or family member. Your pain is never for nothing. Every hard-won victory paves the way for those who follow. You may feel alone, even forsaken, but you are neither. Many witnesses testify to your devotion to your King.
We see.
Every day you live for Him gives someone else courage to fight another day.
Thank you, today and always, for being my family in the Lord. Happy Thanksgiving!!

TAMPA, Florida — Reach City Worship holds nothing back in their new single, More Than A Moment, boldly declaring that Jesus can have it all. Now available on digital platforms, Reach City Worship says More Than A Moment is more than a song — it’s a call to surrender. “God is calling for a people that long for His presence and this song was our response in saying that we no longer wanted to just go through the motions. We no longer want to live lives of compromise, but rather surrender every area of our lives to Him because we want nothing more than to know Him and be known by Him,” says JohnWesley Honaker from Reach City Worship. Produced by Andrew Bergthold (Holy Water, We the Kingdom) and written by Honaker, Rebekah White (Rest on Us), and Josh Farro (This is Amazing Grace), More Than A Moment was inspired by Acts 2, where the writing team was drawn to the encounter in the Upper Room. “As the disciples waited on the Lord, the Holy Spirit met them in their place of waiting. Our surrender is what catches heaven’s attention and it is in these moments where songs are not nearly enough when all that we are after is Him,” Honaker shares. “This is the place where our prayer becomes, ‘let your presence fill this place’, ‘come with fire, fall like rain’, and it is here, with hands lifted and hearts completely surrendered, that the prophetic utterance becomes a promise fulfilled in our lives when the Lord said, ‘In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit on all people’.” The Florida-based worship team from Reach City Church says the song has already made an impact in their worship services, providing a voice for those who are longing for more of the presence of God. “Each time that we lead this song the atmosphere shifts as the posture of hearts begin to shift toward heaven and the things of God,” says Honaker. “The presence of God becomes so evident as people of all ages, all nationalities, and from all walks of life, begin singing together, like a heavenly chorus, a song declaring one thing, that all we want is Jesus.” And now that More Than A Moment has been released digitally, Reach City Worship hopes that more listeners will encounter the presence of God. “I am believing that as people sing, addictions will be broken, bodies will be healed, broken hearts will be mended, and every fear will be cast down by the love that we find in Jesus,” says Honaker. “Not only my hope, but it is my prayer that souls will be saved and lives forever changed. As worship leaders, congregations, and listeners shout this song, I am believing that their shout will usher in the presence of God and that they will walk in victory.”

AUSTIN, Texas — Flourish Music’s new single, No Rival, is available now on digital platforms. The Austin, Texas-based collective, who’s heart is to equip the local church with meaningful and creative gospel-centered songs, declares the greatness of God in their latest release, No Rival. Produced by Austin Davidson, and written over a two-year period by a group of worship leaders at a Flourish Music retreat, No Rival is a song for the season. “In a world that can seem like it’s spinning out of control, No Rival is an anthem that comes from Jeremiah 10:6 — ‘There is none like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might’,” says Jonathan Hunt of Flourish Music. “It’s a truth that we need to repeat, we need to believe, and we need to declare. When we do, we find the freedom to live a surrendered life placing King Jesus above all else.” Flourish Music
hopes No Rival will remind listeners that Christ is King and nothing can stand against the Lord. “We pray as people declare the song, it will remind them of who God is and give them the confidence to walk in boldness in a dark world,” says Hunt. “When we worship we put God in His right place and ourselves in our right place — in need of Him. We hope that if nothing else, God is glorified with this song, and when worshipers are at a loss for words in how to respond to the Lord, No Rival becomes a memorable anthem for their lives.” For more information on Flourish Music, visit flourishcreative.org. NASHVILLE, TENN. (AUGUST 27, 2021) Integrity Music is thrilled to welcome Miami-based singer/ songwriter and worship leader Steph Alessi Muiña to the family. Introducing Steph Alessi Muiña, the label has released her debut single, “Wouldn’t Change A Thing,” today along with the official music video (see below). Her debut song will also be going for adds at radio beginning next week, but it has already been added by stations ahead of the add date.
Born and raised in her parents’ church, Metro Life Church in Miami, along with her three siblings, Muiña developed a deep love and calling for God’s Church at a young age discovering her musical gifts. As the current director of worship at the church, she has grown into her passion and craft of songwriting in her community. She released an independent EP in 2017 along with many projects with Metro Life Worship, and she is excited to share her story through her own songs with this first single followed by an EP next year.
“My songs are a mirror to my journey with the Lord,” Steph Alessi Muiña says, “I don’t hide but use them [the songs] to process what I am learning, figuring out, and going through. I started writing and journalling songs as a child when I went through a time of loneliness and developed a close relationship with the Lord. I think this is where I learned how to process my emotions. Songwriting was and is like therapy to me.”
After a difficult time in her twenties, she was reminded of her early years of journaling and how that prepared the path for her to put her journey into songs. Like many, this year has been a season of reflection and even clarity during the pandemic. She recalls that even during this season of uncertainty, God’s unwavering trust and timing were evident from meeting and marrying her husband to being able to collaborate with songwriters all over the country even during a global crisis.
“During a time I thought I’d be set back due to everything going on, it actually really accelerated me forward and the timing couldn’t be more perfect,” she shares about this last year. “My testimony and my journey lined up with the timing of Integrity Music and I’m so honored by the opportunity to put my songs out there and have an incredible team partnering with me to help people hear them and be ministered to by them.”
The debut single, “Wouldn’t Change A Thing,” focuses on the theme of coming out of a hard season and singing the faithfulness of God. More to come from Steph Alessi Muiña as she begins her journey with Integrity Music and encouraging the church in her way.
